Can’t-Miss Canva Updates for Educators

Hello educators! We have some exciting news from Canva for Education that you won’t want to miss.

In our latest video session, I sat down with Scott Nunes from Canva to dive into the newest features and updates that are perfect for enhancing your teaching toolkit. Whether you’re looking to streamline your workflow or create more engaging content for your students, these updates are designed to make your life easier. Let’s explore these game-changing features!

1. Sort Stickies

Keeping your ideas organized has never been easier with Canva’s new “Sort Stickies” feature. This tool allows you to quickly sort and categorize sticky notes, making brainstorming sessions more efficient and visually appealing. Perfect for planning lessons or collaborative classroom activities.

2. Transform to Doc

This is not a new feature, but how we use it in the video is! Say goodbye to manual document creation. With the “Transform to Doc” feature, you can now convert your designs directly into fully formatted documents. This is a fantastic way to create lesson plans, handouts, and other instructional materials with just a few clicks.

3. Transform to Presentation

This is not new either, but we used it in a super creative workflow! Gamechanger! Creating engaging presentations is now a breeze with the “Transform to Presentation” tool. This feature lets you transform your designs into professional presentations seamlessly. It’s perfect for educators who want to deliver visually appealing lectures and interactive sessions.

4. Link and Embed Canva Files Faster

Efficiency is key in education, and Canva has made linking and embedding other Canva files easier. This update lets you integrate various Canva designs quickly, ensuring your resources are interconnected and easily accessible.

5. Translate Templates

Breaking down language barriers in the classroom has never been easier. The new “Translate Templates” feature enables you to translate your Canva templates into multiple languages. This is ideal for diverse classrooms and helps ensure all students can access the same resources.

6. Animated Bar Charts

Data presentation just got more dynamic with “Animated Bar Charts.” This feature brings your data to life, making it easier for students to understand and engage with information. Use these charts to create interactive lessons that captivate your audience.

7. Graduated Student Export

Finally, the “Graduated Student Export” option is a must-have for end-of-year projects. This feature allows you to export student work and projects efficiently, making it easy to compile and share students’ achievements.
