Google Docs can now use AI to auto-generate a summary for your document.

(This new feature is currently rolling out. If you don’t have it yet, you will soon.)

View the document outline to add your own summary or let Google do the work for you.

This is a great way to teach summary writing!

The summary will give anyone with whom you share the document a preview of what’s inside.
